Eddy currents are an induced electric current circulating wholly within a mass of metal. This technology is used to detect small cracks or hairline fractures by using an electric current in a conducting material that results from induction by a moving or varying magnetic field.
Eddy current probes can be found in aerospace inspection and maintenance facilities and can be utilized in other fields, i.e. checking for cracks in pipelines, fittings, pressure vessels, hardened shafts which have been straightened under force...etc...
We offer a full range of bolt hole and surface probes operating at various frequencies. Aside from the standard probes we manufacture, we can offer custom probes for specific shapes.
